Your cookie choice

Necessary browser storage remembers this decision and supports basic security. You decide whether analytics and advertising may be enabled later.

Necessary

Remembers your choice and supports essential site and form security. It is not used for advertising.

Always on
Analytics

Would help count visits and understand which pages are useful, but only after an analytics service is installed.

Advertising

Would allow advertising measurement or personalisation only if a related service is installed and the law permits it.

Your decision is saved only in this browser. You can return here at any time through “Cookie settings” at the bottom of the page. Allowing a category does not send anything by itself; a matching service must actually be installed.

Simple media help, written for people

Practical guides

One problem. A few steps. A working file.

Choose what went wrong, make a copy of the file, and follow the steps in order. You do not need to know formats, codecs or technical settings.

01Start with a copy, not the only version you have.

02Change one thing at a time, then test it.

03Stop as soon as the new copy works where you need it.

Choose the closest problem

Do this, then try the file again.

The wording on your phone or computer may be a little different, but the idea is the same: open a copy, make one clear change, save another copy, and test it where the original failed.

01

The file will not open

Save a fresh copy.

Try this

  1. Duplicate the original so it stays untouched.
  2. Open the copy in the app that created it, or in Photos, Gallery or Preview.
  3. Choose Save a copy, Export or Share.
  4. Pick a standard or “most compatible” option when one appears, then open the new copy again.

You are finished whenThe new copy opens in the app or website that rejected the original.

02

The file is too large to send

Remove what nobody needs.

Try this

  1. Make a copy and open it in Photos, Gallery or the built-in editor.
  2. Trim the empty beginning, long pauses and anything after the useful part.
  3. When saving or sharing, choose Medium, 1080p or Smaller file if that choice appears.
  4. Try sending the new copy. If it is still too large, shorten it once more or lower the size by one step.

You are finished whenThe copy sends successfully and still looks clear enough for its purpose.

03

The video is sideways or framed badly

Rotate first. Crop second.

Try this

  1. Open a copy in Photos or Gallery and tap Edit.
  2. Use Rotate until people and text are upright.
  3. Use Crop and choose the shape closest to where the video will be posted: vertical, square or wide.
  4. Save a new copy and preview it full-screen before posting.

You are finished whenThe subject is upright, important details remain inside the frame and nothing essential is cut off.

04

You only need part of a recording

Trim the copy, not the original.

Try this

  1. Duplicate the recording and open the copy in the built-in editor.
  2. Choose Edit or Trim.
  3. Move the start marker to the first useful moment and the end marker to the last useful moment.
  4. Save a new clip, then play the first and last few seconds to make sure no words were cut off.

You are finished whenThe clip starts and ends cleanly, while the full original remains available separately.

05

A website rejects an image

Create a simple new image copy.

Try this

  1. Open the image and crop away empty borders or unnecessary background.
  2. Use Save a copy or Export, then choose JPEG or “most compatible” if it is offered.
  3. When there is no export choice, display the image at a useful size, take a screenshot and crop the screenshot closely.
  4. Upload the new copy instead of the original.

You are finished whenThe website accepts the image and it still looks sharp at the size where it will appear.

06

The sent photo or video looks blurry

Send it as a file.

Try this

  1. Return to the conversation and open the attachment menu.
  2. Choose File, Document or Attachment instead of Photo or Video.
  3. Select the original from Files or your device storage and send it.
  4. Open the sent item and compare its size or clarity with the original.

You are finished whenThe recipient receives the full file rather than a compressed preview.

Still stuck?

Tell us what happened.

A short, ordinary description is enough. Tell us which device and app you use, what went wrong, and what you hoped would happen.

Use this form when none of the guides fits. Please describe the media file instead of sending it. Do not include passwords, payment details, identification documents or private recordings.

Please explain the problem instead of sending the actual media file.

No media upload is included. The form sends directly only when the host supports the matching server handler. Otherwise your email application opens with the message already prepared, and nothing leaves your device until you press Send.

Privacy policy

What we collect, and what we do not.

clipntool.com can be read without an account, payment or file upload. Personal information is collected only when you choose to send a request or email.

The simple version

Your media files stay on your device. A message you send through the form is used to answer that message. Optional analytics and advertising remain off unless you allow them through the cookie panel.

1. Who is responsible

For personal information submitted through this website, clipntool.com acts as the data controller. Privacy, access, correction and deletion requests can be sent to support@clipntool.com.

2. Information we may receive

  • Request form: your name, reply email, request category, optional device description, message and submission time.
  • Email: the address, message and ordinary delivery information included by your email provider.
  • Technical records: the hosting provider may record the requested page, time, IP address, browser or device information, referrer and security events. The form also uses an invisible anti-spam field and a short timing check.
  • Cookie choice: this browser may store whether analytics and advertising are allowed, the policy version and the time of your decision.

The form does not accept media uploads, payment information or identification documents. Your video, audio and image files remain on your device unless you independently share them elsewhere.

3. Why information is used

Information is used to answer a request, provide the follow-up you asked for, correct the site, prevent abuse, maintain security, keep a reasonable record of the conversation and comply with legal obligations. The legal basis may be your request for a service or response, consent where required, clipntool.com’s legitimate interest in operating a safe and useful site, or a legal obligation.

4. Information you should not send

Do not send passwords, payment details, government identifiers, precise financial information, health information, details about children, private media, confidential material or anything you are not authorised to share. The site is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly request their personal information.

5. Form and email delivery

When the server handler is available, the request is delivered to the clipntool.com support mailbox. If direct delivery is unavailable, the page prepares a draft in your own email application; nothing is sent until you approve it. Hosting and email providers may process the limited information needed to deliver the page and message under their own security and retention arrangements.

6. Cookies, browser storage and Google services

The cookie panel appears when no saved choice is found. The decision is stored under clipntool.com_consent_v2, so you do not have to answer on every visit. Necessary storage remembers the selected categories, a version number and the time of the choice. It is not used for advertising. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer at any time.

This supplied file does not load Google Analytics, Google Ads, remarketing code or advertising cookies. Analytics and advertising consent are denied by default. Allowing an optional category records permission only; it does not transmit anything unless a corresponding service is later installed.

If Google Analytics, Google Ads conversion measurement or another Google tag is installed later, it must respect the saved choice. Depending on the service and category allowed, Google may receive online identifiers, cookie or local-storage data, IP-derived information, device and browser details, page addresses, referrers, interactions and a form-success event. Names, email addresses, form messages, private links and media contents must not be intentionally sent to Google through analytics or advertising tags.

Where the law requires consent, optional storage and related measurement or advertising processing remain disabled until permission is given. The panel offers a clear way to allow, refuse, change or withdraw that permission. Google’s own privacy controls and policies apply when a Google service is actually enabled.

7. How long information is kept

Messages are kept only for as long as reasonably necessary to answer them, manage related follow-up, prevent abuse, resolve a dispute or satisfy a legal duty. When there is no continuing need, they should be deleted or anonymised. Hosting and security logs follow the hosting provider’s retention settings.

8. Sharing and sale

Personal information is not sold, rented or used to create an unrelated marketing list. It may be shared with hosting or email providers that help run the site, with Google only when a Google service is actually enabled and permitted by your choice, with professional advisers when necessary, or with authorities when disclosure is legally required.

9. Security

The form limits field lengths, rejects file uploads, validates submissions and uses anti-spam checks. The live site should be served over HTTPS. No internet transmission or mailbox can be guaranteed completely secure, so send only the information needed to explain the issue.

10. Your rights and choices

Depending on the law that applies to you, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability; object to some processing; withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing; and complain to a data-protection authority. Include enough information to identify the conversation, but do not send an identity document unless it is specifically and lawfully required.

11. International processing

Hosting, email or Google providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, the relevant operator must use an approved legal mechanism and appropriate safeguards for that transfer.

12. Changes to this policy

This policy may change when the form, providers, cookie categories or Google services change. Material changes should be published here before the new processing begins. The effective date appears at the bottom of the page.

Terms of use

The practical rules for using clipntool.com.

These terms apply when you read the guides or send a request. Mandatory consumer rights that apply to you are not removed.

1. About the site

clipntool.com is a small independent website that provides general, practical guidance for everyday video, audio and image tasks. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Google, Apple, Microsoft, Meta or any platform mentioned for descriptive purposes.

2. Price, accounts and requests

The supplied guides and request form are free to use. There is no account, subscription, hidden charge or automatic purchase. Sending a request is an enquiry, not a confirmed order or a promise that work will be accepted. Any future paid service must be described separately with the full price and conditions before you agree to it.

3. General guidance, not a guaranteed result

Device menus, file formats and third-party platform requirements change. A guide may not work with every device, system version or file. Keep an untouched original, inspect every result yourself and do not delete or publish anything until you are satisfied.

4. Lawful and permitted use

Use the guidance only for material you own or are authorised and legally permitted to edit, record, copy or share. You remain responsible for copyright, privacy, confidentiality, consent, publicity rights and platform rules. The site must not be used to infringe rights, evade access controls, distribute malware, harass people, mislead others or carry out unlawful activity.

5. Requests and prohibited submissions

Messages must be accurate and relevant. Do not submit private media, passwords, payment information, government identifiers, health or financial details, illegal content, threats, malware or information you have no right to disclose. clipntool.com may ignore or delete abusive, unlawful, deceptive or unsafe submissions.

6. Suggestions and corrections

You keep ownership of original material in your message. When you include a non-confidential suggestion or correction, you allow clipntool.com to read it, reproduce it internally and use it to improve the site without payment or attribution. Personal information is handled under the privacy policy and is not automatically published.

7. Site content and names

The site’s original text, structure and visual presentation may be protected by intellectual-property law. You may use the guidance for personal and ordinary business reference, but you may not copy the site wholesale, remove attribution and present it as your own service, or use the clipntool.com name in a misleading way. Third-party product and company names belong to their respective owners.

8. Third-party services and Google

References to operating systems, email providers, Google policies or other third-party services are provided for context. Those services are controlled by their own operators and terms. Mentioning a service does not guarantee availability, approval, compatibility or endorsement. Google alone decides whether a page, advertisement or account satisfies Google policies.

9. Availability and changes

The site, form or any part of the content may be corrected, updated, suspended or withdrawn. clipntool.com does not promise uninterrupted access, a particular response time, permanent storage of messages or acceptance of every request.

10. Disclaimer

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site is provided “as is” and “as available” without express or implied warranties, including accuracy, availability, compatibility, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Nothing here excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.

11. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, clipntool.com is not liable for lost or damaged files, loss of data, profit, opportunity or goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss arising from reliance on the site. This does not limit liability for fraud, deliberate misconduct, personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability that applicable law does not allow to be limited.

12. Changes and contact

Terms may be updated when the site or legal requirements change. The version published here applies from its stated date. Questions, copyright notices and legal concerns can be sent to support@clipntool.com.
